About MA
Mary Ann “MA” Miller is the founder of Heart Strong Wellness, LLC. a caregiver-focused health and wellness practice supporting families navigating dementia and long-term care transitions.

Her work is informed by both professional training and lived experience walking alongside her own family through dementia care—an experience that revealed how often caregivers are asked to make complex decisions without clear guidance or support.

Mary Ann is a Board-Certified Health & Wellness Coach, personal trainer, and public health professional who helps caregivers feel more prepared, confident, and supported through practical tools, compassionate coaching, and clear communication strategies.

She currently works as a Lifestyle Health Coach with University of Pittsburgh Medical Center and is completing a Master of Public Health at Slippery Rock University.

Mary Ann also serves as a volunteer Board Member with the Beaver County YMCA and is the author of Care Guide for Your Loved One with Dementia, created to help families transition their loved ones into long-term care facilities.
Our Mission
Heart Strong Wellness exists to support family caregivers navigating dementia and long-term care transitions with clarity, compassion, and practical guidance—so they feel prepared, confident, and supported through every stage of caregiving.
Our Concept
Heart Strong Wellness is rooted in the idea of strengthening the human heart—not as a muscle, but as a center of resilience, care, and connection.

Caregiving places extraordinary emotional, mental, and physical demands on individuals and families. Our work honors the quiet strength caregivers carry as they make complex decisions, advocate for loved ones, and navigate profound transitions—often without a roadmap.

Heart Strong Wellness exists to be that steady guide: offering structure where there is uncertainty, clarity where there is overwhelm, and support where caregivers often feel alone.
Our Manifesto
At Heart Strong Wellness LLC., we believe caregivers deserve support that is practical, compassionate, and realistic.

We believe health is not optimized—it is protected, especially during seasons of caregiving.
We believe clarity reduces stress, and preparation builds confidence.
We believe communication is a form of care.
We believe dignity matters—for both caregivers and those they support.
Our work is grounded in public health principles and lived caregiving experience, with a focus on:

-
Supporting caregiver wellbeing and resilience
-
Strengthening communication during care transitions
-
Reducing overwhelm through simple, usable tools
-
Honoring the whole person beyond a diagnosis
-
Creating access to support, education, and connection
In simple terms, Heart Strong Wellness works to make caregiving feel less isolating, less overwhelming, and more supported—one clear step at a time.
